PEC File Viewer

Inspect a standalone Brother PEC design from a legacy card or embroidery workflow. Read its stitch paths, palette entries and dimensions without requiring a PES file first. If another application specifically needs PES, use the separate PEC-to-PES converter.

About this format

.PEC · BROTHER

Brother PEC

Brother's embedded stitch block — the part of a PES file the machine actually reads. Some older machines and card writers expect it on its own.

What to watch for

PEC can hold a complete stitch design

The standalone file contains stitch data and palette information even without a PES wrapper. This viewer decodes those records rather than treating the file as an image.

Palette entries are not physical thread samples

The preview uses Brother palette values read from the file. Display settings and physical thread choices affect how the actual embroidery appears.

Keep viewing separate from conversion

There is no download on this viewer. Use PEC-to-PES when a compatible application requires PES, and keep the original PEC in case a legacy card workflow still needs it.
