Brother PES
A Brother embroidery format also used by compatible Baby Lock and some other machines. Versions and colour information vary. A readable preview or conversion does not guarantee that your machine accepts the file; check its version and embroidery-area limits.
What to watch for
These colours came out of the file
PES versions can store palette entries or richer thread information. The preview uses colours decoded from your file when present. HoopFile's PES version 1 output uses a fixed Brother palette; screen colours remain a guide rather than a guarantee of physical thread shades.
PES versions and machine support
PES exists in several versions, and support varies by machine and software. A readable preview does not prove compatibility. HoopFile's converter writes PES version 1, but hoop limits and transfer requirements still need checking.
Dimensions and stitch count do not certify sewing quality
Use the dimensions to compare your machine’s embroidery area and the stitch count to check its data limits. A total count divided by the design area is not a local stitch-density measurement. Fabric, stabiliser, underlay and digitising choices still need a test sew-out.
