Tajima DST
A Tajima stitch format used in many commercial embroidery workflows. Standard DST stores stitch movements and colour-change commands, but not an original thread palette. Check your machine manual for support.
What to watch for
Standard DST has no original thread palette
The preview assigns colours to distinguish the stitching blocks. They do not recover the designer’s intended shades. Use the supplied colour sheet and numbered block order to select your real threads.
Dimensions and stitch count do not certify sewing quality
Use the dimensions to compare your machine’s embroidery area and the stitch count to check its data limits. A total count divided by the design area is not a local stitch-density measurement. Fabric, stabiliser, underlay and digitising choices still need a test sew-out.
What a preview cannot show you
This is the stitch path, not the finished embroidery. It cannot show pull on the fabric, whether the underlay is adequate, how a fill will feel under your hand, or whether small lettering will hold together at that size. Those only appear when you stitch it.
