What to watch for
Stored colours are a guide
VP3 can store RGB thread values, which are used for this preview when present. Screen colour is not a guarantee of the shade of real thread or the fabric beneath it.
Check the embroidery area, not just the format
Even a machine that supports VP3 can reject an oversized design. Compare the stitch dimensions with your model's usable hoop area and other file limits.
