Bring a Husqvarna Viking or Pfaff VP3 design into a compatible Brother or Baby Lock PES workflow. VP3 RGB colours are translated to HoopFile's PES output palette, so some shades can change. The conversion preserves a stitch plan, not the original software's editable objects or project layout.

The two formats
.VP3 · HUSQVARNA VIKING, PFAFF
Husqvarna VP3
The current Husqvarna Viking and Pfaff format. It carries thread colours, and unlike the older HUS it can hold larger designs.
.PES · BROTHER, BABY LOCK
Brother PES
Brother's own format, used across Baby Lock and Bernina Deco machines. It carries thread colours and a design thumbnail, so a converted file arrives with its palette already set.
What to watch for
RGB colours become palette entries
VP3 can hold RGB thread colours. This converter writes PES version 1 with a fixed Brother palette, so the nearest available shade may differ. Keep the VP3 thread chart when choosing physical threads.
Check size before transferring the file
A design made for a Viking or Pfaff hoop may exceed a Brother model's embroidery area. This tool does not split the design across hoops or resize it to fit.
PES is not a recovered software project
Downloading PES does not recreate the original digitising software's editable text, fills or layered artwork. Keep the original VP3 and any native project files for later editing.
