Convert XXX to DST
Export the stitch plan from an XXX file as DST for a compatible production machine. Singer or Compucon thread colours are not stored in the resulting DST. Provide the intended thread sequence separately and check the converted movement and trim commands before handing it to an operator.
Stitch preview
XXX FILE PREVIEW · SAMPLE DESIGNChoosing a file uploads it for processing. Read our Privacy Policy and Terms of Use before uploading.
Size comparison only, not a machine-compatibility check. Confirm the supported embroidery area in your machine manual.
The two formats
Singer XXX
Singer and Compucon machines read XXX. It stores thread colours alongside the stitches.
Tajima DST
Written for Tajima commercial machines and read by nearly everything since. It stores stitch movements only — no thread colours at all, which is why a palette is assigned rather than read.
What to watch for
Send colours separately
The XXX preview can show stored source colours, but DST has no RGB thread palette. Send a thread chart alongside the file; a screenshot is a reference, not a machine-readable colour assignment.
Do not expect matching record counts
DST limits movement to 12.1 mm per axis per record. Long XXX stitches or jumps can be split during export, and machine-specific trim handling can differ.
Check the design size on the destination
This conversion does not resize the XXX pattern or guarantee a fit in a commercial machine's hoop. Check the full setup and test a sample before using production fabric.
